Dr. Hunain Shiwani is a medical doctor with 10+ years experience in clinical practice, specializing in interventional radiology and cardiovascular imaging. He has undergone fellowship training in cardiovascular imaging and has achieved Level 3 certification in Cardiac MRI (EACVI/SCMR) and Level 2 in Cardiac CT (BSCI/BSCCT).

Dr. Shiwani has commercial and industry experience and has been involved in the development, certification (including ISO13485, CE/UKCA, and FDA), and deployment of AI-driven medical products.

Dr. Shiwani is a PhD candidate specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Cardiovascular Imaging, where he integrates large-scale imaging data with cutting-edge machine learning techniques. His work has been published in leading journals including Circulation, The Lancet Digital Health, and JACC.

He has co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications with more than 2,000 citations, and his research has been recognized with multiple national and international awards. His work has also received national media attention, with features in The Guardian, The Independent, and other media outlets.

Dr. Shiwani currently serves as an Advisory Editor in Artificial Intelligence for Clinical Radiology, and is an active peer reviewer for several high-impact journals in cardiovascular imaging and radiology.

In addition to his research work, Dr. Shiwani is vice-chair of the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) Trainee Committee, previously served on the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (BSCI) Committee and is a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Imaging Science Working Group Member.
